REEL SERVICES AUSTRALIA

Attention: All Customers

Booking forms have been disabled until the 1st January 2022

I am not taking any new jobs into the workshop due to my upcoming surgery.

I should be fully recovered by, or just after, Christmas so I will be taking reels again from the 1st of January.

Please Note: If reels are sent while I am in recovery I will not be able to collect them from the Post Office and they will likely be returned to you.

Also, the workshop will be closed for the middle 2 weeks in February 2022 as I desperately require time off that involves fishing and not recovering from injuries or surgery.

I have yet again had to stop all work on any new custom rod builds, re-builds and restoration works. I will ONLY be doing rod building in my spare time, if I get some. REEL SERVICING IS PRIORITY.

All minor guide and tip repairs will still be undertaken.

Also, there has been some difficulty getting rod components & reel parts due to the COVID situation overseas causing delays in manufacturing.

Work on small rod repairs such as guides and tip replacements is quick and easy and these small jobs are typically completed on a Sunday, then are ready for collection Mon/Tues onwards.

If you are local and wish to drop off your reels and rods to the workshop please note that this is by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Thanks everyone.

Here's a couple of pics of the finished Samurai Premium 6lb 'flattie slayer' I took prior to surgery...which I forgot to post.

7' 6lb 1pce Samurai Premium blank
Combo EVA & Cork grip set-up
Titanium lure keeper
Fuji Titanium framed guides
(First 2 stripper guides Sic rings & remainder plus tip are Torzites to keep the weight down where it matters)

I've fished these blanks in the past which have used stainless Sic guides all the way and they were sloppy and horrible to use.
The Torzite guides make a world of difference maintaining that high blank recovery rate with next to zero slop (tip wobble).

This rod is for sale if anyone is interested.
$450.

Amazing work 👌👌

Todd Brinks

Heres one I started before stopping work.

A Calstar marlin spin rod. I didnt really want to give up the blank, but I caved in.
Very very lucky for Dale Moir

Itll just sit there now for a number of weeks until I get back to it.
